The ARC Clinical Supervision Community & Directory of Supervisors
Many experienced supervisors have asked for a way to connect, share good practice and let potential supervisees know that they offer high-quality reflective supervision.
In response, ARC is creating a new Clinical Supervision Community and Directory of Supervisors.
The Community will bring together clinicians with supervision experience, knowledge and training. An annual summer CPD event, which will be free for members, will provide an opportunity for connection, networking and continuing professional development. Non-members will be able to attend but there will be a cost.
The Directory will help practising supervisors connect with potential supervisees. It will include:
- Experienced Supervisors with foundational training through ARC or an equivalent professional route and are committed to evidence-influenced, high-quality practice. Alternatively you will have been supervised on a regular basis by Ruth (at least 6 times a year over the last 2 years)
- Advanced Supervisors who have worked more intensively with Ruth through an Advanced Supervision Study Day, providing an additional level of individualised knowledge and skills assurance.
The ARC Community initiative is likely to be particularly useful for independent and school-based therapists, but NHS therapists are very welcome to join and access the CPD event.
The summer 2027 event will focus on Resilient Supervision, utilizing the work of Stacey (2017) and Paul Gilbert’s compassionate drives.
